On the MCAT, are we given log tables? How are we supposed to calculate sin, cos, and tan? Are there tables given for those values as well? I know we are not allowed to use calculators, so is there any help for the mathematically declined? Thanks.

the only ones you will need to know are the so called golden triangles (i.e. 30, 60, 90 degrees) and then all those translations into radians.

So dont worry about finding the sin of 45.73, they wont ask you stuff like that.

Same deal with logs. That is, you wont have to find the log of 432.342

You might need to know the log of simple numbers like 10, 100, or maybe something like 50. They will set it up so that you will only have to work with pretty well behaved numbers.

In general the answer choices will be arranged such that its fairly obvious if you did the computations right.

For example, suppose the correct answer is 10. They might give you answer choices of 2, 10, 20, 25. In other words, they would NOT give you answer choices of 9, 10, 10.5, 10.75, 11
