Hello...
Has anyone heard ANYTHING lately? I know the committee met on December 20, and I'm getting antsy. sigh.

Sorry, no. I am definitely rooting for you though, along with the other peeps who haven't heard anything yet. Post when you get the good news! 👍 :luck:

Good luck, License2IL! :luck: :luck: Unfortunately, if I remember correctly, the next batch of acceptances of AWPA people is in January. So there's a bit more of a wait ahead! 😳

I wish you and everyone else waiting to hear the best of luck (and a happy new year)! 👍

Yup, I'm on the AWPA list and didn't hear anything the 20th (Schools closed until the 2nd or 3rd). January 17th is the next meeting so we can try and entertain ourselves until then with all the cool toys everyone hopefully got. Keep your mind off it and the time will fly.

so i should have heard by now if i was in their dec 20th meeting? i was still holding out hope for snail mail. do they call/email or is it all through the mail?

SIU appears to use snail mail to contact people for everything. Were you waiting for an AWPA letter, or an acceptance? Depending on where you are, the snail mail could take a while (especially with the holiday season)--I think one of their letters took about 1.5 weeks to reach me (but I'm in Chicagoland). If you've interviewed relatively recently & you're waiting for a decision, I think they tell you your status (AWPA, ranked alternate, rejection, etc.) after the meeting (assuming you made that meeting), but they took ~8 days to actually start sending out the letters (then add up to another week or so for snail mail). I think their policy is not to keep you hanging at that point. After receiving an AWPA, however, you might not hear anything until after one of their 3 "special" meetings (Nov, Jan, Mar).

Good luck! :luck: :luck:
