for all of you folks who have gone down to slu, it would be very helpful if you could give me an idea about what the interview is like. all help appreciated.

i interviewed at SLU last April. i recommend staying with a student host; mine was great and i was able to get more of a feel for the school. i thought the buildings were really pretty (and like the fountains, I have a thing for fountains) and the inside facilities were OK. There seemed to be a lot of married and non-traditional students there, but the class still seemed reasonably diverse. Most people hear 1-2 weeks after their interview, and a decent number are taken off of the alternate list during the summer each year. I was accepted off the alternate list but chose to attend Tufts because I couldn't pass up Boston. You should e-mail or PM wyldstyle2000; he is a student at SLU and really enjoys it. I thought it was a great school with an excellent hospital and good match list. good luck at your interview.

Hey, jub, what's up? I had a regional SLU interview in Seattle. It was very non-stressful. Good luck and enjoy your trip. :)

thanks for the info katie.

smw, regional interview, eh? they didn't even give me the option even though i told them that i was postponing the date because i didn't know if i could afford to get out there. that 30 minute interview is going to cost me well to $1200 in lost wages and expenses, but seeing how i am not in yet, i guess it the price i have to bear.

gosh, seattle would have been really nice. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
