any thoughts from other pre-meds or perhaps med students who had to make this decision in the past?

i was recently told some negative things about SLU by former resident, now fellow... location wise drexel and RFU are somewhat simular in my opinion, both are in suburban area, but you only have to drive 20 min from Drexel to Philly downtown and hospitals, while from RFU its at least an hour to Chicago. Plus there's a nice place called Manayunk not far from Drexel, where many students live, lots of bars, restaurants, and night life.

except at RFU you move downtown for years 3 and 4. Can't wait to live in Lincoln Park next year!

For Drexel you can live in downtown starting year 1 if you really want to :) there's a free shuttle that runs every 30 minutes from Drexel affiliated hospitals to Drexel med school. With RFU you don't really have this option (not that I'm against RFU) :)

Yeah, but RFU is not in Chicago (about 40 mins - hour north), Drexel is in the suburbs of Philly, and SLU is actually in st. louis.

I've interviewed at RFU and at Drexel and personally did not care for either of them - personally. imho. personally. just my impression.

I vote SLU
