moops,

I was accepted at both, so I had to make the same decision. I definately liked MCW better. I thought the school was nice, and all the students I talked to really liked it. I thought SLU was nice too, but I was turned off by things that students said to me. More than one student told me that it was "an okay school, but if you get in somewhere else go there." That pretty much did it for me.

I had to make the same decision about the two schools. I must have interviewed on the same day as nw7 because I remember the students saying that too. They didn't seem very happy about the school. Of course, that probably isn't true of all students at SLU. I felt kind of hesitant about SLU the whole time I was there. I liked MCW better because it seemed like a better atmosphere for me. I wanted to go to a school outside of a major city, not right in it. MCW seems like a very progressive school too, one can tell that they are constantly improving and trying to become better. It seems likea a great place to be, and the students all loved it there. Congrats on the acceptances, and good luck!

I was lucky enough to be accepted at both schools too, and if I had to make this choice I would pick MCW. Reasons being students seemed more happy, maybe because it was right after exams and my host took me to a halloween party, newer facilities, higher rankings, and a bad a$$ gym located in house. The only con at MCW is that it is hella cold in the winter. As for slu the students seem stressed, maybe because I interviewed during the middle of exams. But a few years ago during the change in curriculum they had problems w/usmle pass rate, and check this thread from an unhappy slu student http://www.studentdoctor.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=66679 .
Not to bad mouth sluM., cause I know it's a good school my sister and brother in-law are alumni and both got good residencies at UCLA. But MCW seems like the better choice.
