So we talked about alcohol before an interview, how about some jack3d?

Was wondering if anyone tried something like jack3d before going on an interview? For those of you that do not know what it is, it's a pre-workout stimulant that has a bunch of caffeine, nitric oxide, and dimethylamylamine. All I know is that after I take it I feel energetic, confident and am completely focused, which can't hurt during an interview :) Thoughts?

Anything that uses numbers as letters in the name is suspect to me.

Don't know about an interview, but I took it before my MCAT for the effects listed above, for those of you still at that stage

lol ok we can just call it jacked then. it's actually the most popular pre-workout on the market, very potent.

Yes, take a bunch of stimulants for a scenario that already causes anxiety in pretty much everyone. Sounds like a great idea.

I don't take drugs of any kind, even caffeine, when the stakes are high. The most important thing is to get enough sleep and eat well.

If the interview is going to make you nervous and you add in a heavy dose of stimulant, you could make yourself far more nervous.

Your brain can mistakenly interpret the stimulants as a reaction to the interview thus tricking it into seeing the interview as a much bigger danger than it normally would. The end result is you go from slightly nervous to crapping your pants in the interview.

    Not recommended.

I took this many times to stay up all night for exams. I find the first dose to be extremely effective.... i could pretty much recite my biochem notes after reading it once...

for interview.... i probably would not take it because it's a stimulant and vasodilator and you will already be nervous for the interview ... especially considering you are already thinking about taking jack3d for interview lol

I personally don't go into any interview without my powerbar, creatine, hydroxycut, multivitamin, vitamin C, and jack3d shake.

Bonus points for doing prison style burpees in the waiting room.. This asserts your dominance over the other applicants.

Better just to walk in and level the biggest guy in the room with a nice haymaker to the ear. No problems when it comes time to hit the chow line, either. #f0kersain'ttakingmybrownie

I probably wouldn't take it pre-interview. I like saving it for the workouts, it would feel like a waste.

Instead of a 4-loko you might as well just drink some absinth.

Or more around $1? If you're paying more than about .50 a scoop you're getting ripped off.

dimethylamylamine + stressful situations = really bad

seriously, don't. you may be used to taking it and love it, but add some adrenaline to the mix and I promise you things will take a turn for the worst. I used some bulk 1,3-dmaa before the MCAT and practically had a panic attack, and I had a friend who used an energy shot with dmaa in it before a half marathon and he passed out 8 miles in (and he's no joke of an athlete).

drink half a cup of coffee and try not to drown in your own sweat
