so what's the difference between molecular biology and biochemistry?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Biochem = classic metabolic pathways
Molecular Bio = cell pathways, genetics, immuno-testing, PCR, etc.

That's how I see it.

I would venture to say that you are right BigFrank!

And for all DO's out there who are taking USMLE for the first time this year, be ready for this material. It is what differentiates a good score from a great score, as evidenced by BigFrank's performance blowing mine away by 30+points. As a DO, even if you are top of your class, great GPA, you better prepare for this material if you want a 250+. Even friends of mine who I was ahead of in rank, GPA, and even our own COMLEX outscored me on USMLE because of my miserable preparation for this material.

But doing it all over again, I'll sleep okay with a 232/94 going into Family Medicine. Its all you need 🙂

Half of my class scored lower than you, PACtoDOC. You did amazingly well, having to prepare for TWO exams, and will make a wonderful FP.
