I'm looking for info on how the following schools look at out-of-staters:

    Florida
    South Florida
    Indiana
    Louisville
    Maryland
    Missouri
    UMDNJ
    New Mexico
    SUNYs
    MCO
    Northeastern Ohio
    Penn State
    MUSC
    South Carolina
    Tennessee
    West Virginia
    Univ of Wisconsin
    Wright State

    Stats would be great too!!

I'm just checking since Connecticut and Illinois are now both recruiting out-of-state, so I wonder if other schools are slowly changing their policies. Historically the above schools were almost exclusively in-state, but my MSAR is a few years old.

    thanks! :)

From 2003-2004 MSAR. I'll just list the number matriculated in-state and out-of state:

    Florida 96/1
    South Florida 100/0 <-- g/l there! *not even 1 out-of-state interview!*
    Indiana 254/26
    Louisville 124/17
    Maryland 112/25
    Missouri 93/2
    UMDNJ 124/18
    New Mexico 73/2
    SUNYs
    Buffalo 129/6
    Downstate 175/13
    Upstate 144/12
    Stony Brook 101/1
    MCO 111/29
    Northeastern Ohio 17/0 doesn't include BS/MD kids
Penn State 54/70 *4489 out-of-state apps, 511 interviews. Applicants admitted have a mean GPA of 3.62 and mean MCAT scores of 10. *
    MUSC 135/6
    South Carolina 62/8
    Tennessee 59/1
    West Virginia 83/7
    Univ of Wisconsin 126/21
    Wright State 83/7

yes, same numbers for WV and wright state

so, still seems in-state, except penn state.
not all schools have numbers, but if you want a specific one, i can check it out. by the way, thanks for putting those in alphabetical order by state. g/l

If I'm not mistaken, OHSU gives some preference to out of staters living in certain western states. They do interview other out of staters, but the 284/1944 may be a bit misleading.
