Hi guys,

I was reading my interview letter from NYU and this is what the first two lines read:

"Thank you for applying to the New York University School of Dentistry. The Admission Committee has reviewed your application and is aware of the support a distinguished alumnus has given to your application."

I have no idea who the distinguished alumnus is or what that means. Did any of you guys recieve the same letter? I'm confused. It sounds like a good thing though.

Any ideas?

Wow, it does sound good. NYU does give scholarships and you might be lucky. Last year my friend got some astronomical amount of money: I think between 50,000 - 80,000. I don't know if he was exaggerating, but yeah they do give many scholarships to the matriculating class. It's funny he rejected NYU and three months later they sent him this offer and he accepted. So maybe that has something to do with it.

I'm not sure though.
