Hey KDMD!
I asked some of the same questions to one of the housing committee students... here is what she said.....

Provided:
Twin size bed. Base has two big drawers in it. Many people add on
an extension and buy a full size mattress, but that can be done after
you are here. People tend to sell full size mattresses, so you can
get one for cheap if you wait.
Book shelf
Desk with chair
Dresser
Heat and A/C
Ceiling light. You will probably want to buy a desk lamp or
something else once you see your room.
No carpets, but people tend to purchase an area rug or remnant
once they are here.
Every room is a different size, depending on what floor you are on,
whether it is a 4 or 6 bedroom apartment, etc. They are not huge,
but I am confortable in mine.
I am not sure if you are planning to bring things for your room with
you, but you will have plenty of time once you get here to purchase
your extra furnishings. Although you have classes during your first
month of school, it is really a very relaxed month.
FYI:
People in the apartment generally share cable tv expenses. They
also divide the electricity bill. Each person usually has her/his own
phone and phone service.
