The Southeast Regional IR Medical Student Symposium, co-hosted by the University of Queensland - Ochsner Clinical School and Emory University, aims to foster interest and increase exposure to the field of Interventional Radiology as well as provide the building blocks for innovation and collaboration with future colleagues.


The symposium will include brief lectures from a variety of Interventional Radiology faculty covering a wide breath of procedures and disease processes treated by interventional radiologists, the history and future of the specialty, as well as information on IR/DR residency. There will be hands on experience with procedural simulators. Additionally, there will be opportunities to network with Interventional Radiology program directors and faculty from numerous institutions. All students are welcome to attend.
