Can anybody tell me anything about SIU?
Anyone attending or even applied to it?
I've checked 2 other discussions and haven't heard anyone talking about this particular school. Is it not a good school?

I applied to SIU too, just because the tuition is cheaper for me. But I haven't heard anything about that school besides it's in Alton, IL, and it's very small (only 35 students/yr)

I thought they accepted 50 students, I was reading Barron's earlier this evening.

    Mechenger,

I have heard, yet don't know for sure, that SIU gives huge preference to in-state applicants (like 98%!). Unless you have incredible stats and/or strong ties to the state it might be extremely difficult to get accepted. Just my 2 cents.
