I have a question about special requirements for psychiatry residency applications. Can you guys share programs you have come across that have specific or unusual requirements for application? Things that are not broadly required? For instance, requiring a Chairman letter, college transcript, etc. I'm trying not to miss any loose ends.
Here's what I have so far:
- Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School Program - requires that one of your letters be written by a Medicine doctor
- Cambridge Health Alliance Program - requires that you have completed your Medicine sub-i prior to being interviewed (and preferably before applying); also requires 4 LORs
Are there any else you guys are aware of? In particular, I am looking and Boston and New York programs. TIA!
