I work for a researcher in 2 capacities:
1. I work as a ghostwriter--write articles for magazines that are published under the researcher's name. I get paid per article I write.
2. As a volunteer asst, I take her clinical outcome data and perform statistical analysis, ultimately putting together a poster. This is unpaid.
AMCAS was easy--I lumped them under the research category.
On some secondaries that make you re-enter ECs for God knows what reasons, they do not have this category. Its paid vs. volunteer vs. extracurricular.
Do I separate them based on duty? Or should I just couple the unpaid part with the paid employment? And volunteer? that implies some sort of community service, right?
Thank you for any guidance!
