Future ophtho resident here - I had always wondered if playing tennis or baseball affects the quality and steadiness of your microsurgery skills? i.e. If I haven't played tennis in awhile, and start playing again, the day after my forearms/hands are shaky compared to baseline. Thoughts?

Yes. Don't ever play sports!

Seriously though, I try to avoid weight lifting, and heavy hand and upper body exercises the day before I operate. Cardio is ok. The day after or a few days before no problem. That's just me though.
