I am internal med trained, not much experience in the field but would like to bolster my chances to be competitive; and would like to know how many of those who match are IMG's

Hellow! I have been panning to pursue sports medicine. I am in IM residency and I am an IMG and want to work on getting sports related experiences. Tell me about your experience and how competitive is sports medicine now a days after IM residency?
