I am working with a non-profit community health center in eastern Rockland County that is in need of a dentist to join their team. The health center is dedicated to strengthening the health, safety and well-being of the community through its vast in-house network of physicians and their affiliations with world-class medical institutions.

Full-time and Part-time hours are available.

The Role
Responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to health center patients, including definitive, emergency, restorative and preventative dental care. This position will report to the Consulting Dental Clinical Director.
Essential Functions:

• Performs routine examinations.
• Diagnoses ailments of oral cavity. Performs X-rays.
• Performs teeth cleaning and dental work, including crowns, bridges, dentures, etc.
• Performs limited dental surgery, restricted to extractions.
• Documents patient’s dental history and treatment.
• Supervises dental assistants and hygienists.
• Performs patient pain management techniques.
• Performs other tasks as necessary.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Dental degree from an accredited dental school with a New York State license and current certification and Two years of experience in general dentistry. Hospital training and Supervisory experience preferred.
