Hey y'all. I'm trying to develop a standardized bowel regimen algorithm for my institution and one way for me to sell this to the top brass is to be able to say something like "look at all these institutions that have bowel protocols and we don't!"
So just curious, how many of you guys have some sort of bowel protocol that you can point to and what institution are you at? I know we all mostly just ask patients to shotgun miralax or lactulose but how many of you actually have a guideline that you can point to? (especially when arguing with ancillary staff about enemas)
