Hi everyone!
Interview feedback is still down so I asking you guys for any advice you can give me on the interview. Stanford is my number one choice now (after a sad Harvard rejection last week) so I really want to do well on this =) The whole medical application process has been pretty anxiety-laden?

Also, if I write a letter to someone expressing how much I love the school, does anyone have suggestions on who to write it to? I've been told Dr. Fisher makes the phone calls if you get in, but its Dr. Garcia, Stanford tells me, who determines who gets a secondary and who gets an interview.

Please reply!!! =) THANKS! I'm going APRIL 18th, anyone else?

Hi,

First, I heard that Stanford people don't like the letters. their reasoning is that you are writing it because you know you cannot get in, so you are trying to influence the results. But this is what I heard from a student interviewer who just gave that info to me when i asked me about that.

Second, Stanford gives you one faculty interviewer and one student interviewr. It is really a regular inerview (tell me about yourself, blah blah blah). and I guess it doesn't count much on their decision also. so don't stress it. They are just using the interview to see if you are a weirdo!! otherwise it just counts less than anything else.

Also Stanford is HUGE. so make sure you arrive early to know where the place is.

-take care
