Has anyone else other than the two on the interview thread gotten an interview invite to Stanford? Particularly out of staters? Thanks

i dunno, my app was complete on 09/12 and i'm in state and still haven't heard a peep from them

I don't think the in/out of state thing matters too much at Stanford because it is private. Also, if you look at their acceptance rates, they are pretty close for in/out of staters. The UCs, on the other hand, are another story.

I wouldn't worry too much about not having a Stanford invite yet as they don't start interviewing till December. Just be thankful there hasn't been a thin little letter in the mail yet 😳

It is Cardinal. It is one of the few team names that is singular. It refers to the color IIRC.

Yes, he's correct. It's the Stanford Cardinal... as in the color, not the bird. Our unofficial mascot is the Tree. I guess that's better than the Indians and the Robberbarons...
