i got an invite from stanford, but its a rather costly trip, so while im interested, i dont want to drop that kind of cash if they interview 1000 and accept 100. So while I know stanford's acceptance rate for all applicants, I was wondering if anyone knew the percentage of interviewees that is accepted.

The student I stayed with at Stanford said that their entire admissions process is somewhat unique, and getting an interview is significant. If you can swing it, I would go. It's an interesting place. I was also told that they only interview about 300-400, not 700-1000 like many other schools.

Also, stay with a student to make the trip cheaper. They were all very friendly.

i also got an invite and i am definitely going. Stanford is a school everyone should attend if they have the chance. I was there for about 6 weeks and totally feel in love with it. I also think you should go if you can afford it.

Go, go, GO!!! I just got back from visiting Stanford (not for an interview unfortunately), and I think it's impossible that you wouldn't like it. Awesome facilities, great weather, beautiful campus, and awesome people - don't think twice about buying that plane ticket.
