That is all. I applied to enough but I just keep thinking the more schools I apply to I might get a better shot.

Anyone else feel this way? Anyone done with their secondaries but thinking of applying to a few more?

Just wondering.

I feel the exact same way...i submitted 5 secondaries...PCOM, NSU, AZCOM, UNECOM, CCOM...but only received 2 interviews...one in 10/28 the other in 11/18

the problem is..i am picky and do not know if i want to go to any other school..

I will probably send out a few more secondaries if i dont hear back from the 10/28 interview by the time i interview for the second school.

Edit: just received rejection from CCOM 🙁

Yep, I got mine from there too and MSU. I am still waiting on LECOM (already had my interview), UNECOM, and OSUCOM... I hope to get into LECOM, but if I find out that I don't I might apply to a couple more...

PM me sometime if you want.

What were your stats/mcat/ec's??? Did something go wrong at the interview in your opinion?

Submit more secondaries now! You can even add schools onto your aacomas after you've submitted it. My primary didn't even go out until October and I interviewed from Jan to Mar last year so it's not as if you'll be way behind. What's the worst that can happen? Would you rather lose 2-300 bucks covering your bases or an entire year + the cost of re-application? There are plenty of great osteopathic schools, and your education will be what you make of it. Where you are doesn't matter as much as what you do once your there. So get there! Good luck!

When is the lastest you can still send out primaries?

It depends on how much you would actually consider going to those other schools. I originally applied to just 3 schools, then when secondary invites came around I decided that I really only wanted to go to NovaSUCOM so I filled out their secondary quickly and decided to wait on the rest. Everyone told me to apply to more schools, but I would rather wait one year and go to the school of my choice than settle for somewhere where I wouldn't be comfortable for FOUR YEARS. But also I'm getting married soon and didn't want to move so that has something to do with it. Luckily I've been accepted to Nova now so no worries! It all depends on how picky you are. Good Luck!

Not to get on Lily's case or anything... BUT... ***SERIOUSLY*** If the only place that granted you an acceptance was someplace you didn't "like"... would you still go there, rather than declining and POSSIBLY getting in a year later?

This always seems like such an odd thing that keeps cropping up. I think we're all placed where we're supposed to be... whether we can see the reasons why or not. If the choice is between potentially getting accepted NOWHERE and getting accepted ANYWHERE, i'll take anywhere... because the entire POINT of this exercise is to be a doctor.

Once you're in school, you will have very little time to be concerned about trivialities. If you really REALLY don't like it, then you can go do clinicals elsewhere (most likely... I only really know about my school, regarding clinicals). You can put up with ANYTHING for a couple of years.

some ppl are just extremely picky..and want the best education for their needs..and a year of waiting is worth the wait..lily is one of those ppl..and i totally respect that..im glad she got in...

Thats the thing... the results from institution to institution are extremely similar, and results depend more on the student than the institution anyway.

Yea, if you know that your not gonna be happy in the location or at the school, you probably won't do as well either. I would personally wait a year to get into somewhere i really liked or felt ok about, rather than go somewhere that i didn't like and i was gonna be unhappy at.
