State school vs. Harvard/Columbia/Penn

If the total cost difference after 4 years between going to a state school or going to Harvard, Columbia, Penn was say around $100,000, would it still be worth going ivy league or does the cost really matter at the end?

Harvard/Penn/Columbia will most likely give you a slight edge on specializing...but it's not worth the extra 150k in my opinion! Avg. state school runs about 250k and avg. private is about 400k (all inclusive).
 
Isn't interest rate at 6.8% now? Unless you really want to specialize, I don't see the point. I'm glad in my case, I'd never have to worry about any of those schools anyway. Don't have the stats for them

Lol re: interest rate.. the stuff in the news is for undergrad . Professional starts at 6.8 and goes to 7.9 after 40k or so.
