What are some state schools that like out of state applicants? I'm interested in Connecticut, Illinois, New Jersey, Vermont, Maryland, Colorado, and possibly others but I'm hesitant to apply. Thanks. :)

University of Michigan, more then half of its class are non-residents.

all those states you mention...their state schools are pretty tough for out of staters.

I think the only medical school in Vermont is UVM, which is a private school I believe. But most of their students are from out of state...especially California.

UMDNJ-NJMS I know offers many spaces to out of state students and I dont even think they are distinguished from in-staters for tuition.

I am from Virginia and thanks to our Democrat governor there is almost no
money for schools so all the Virginia schools ESPECIALLY med & grad schools
favor out of state because of the extra $ they receive. However, do not
bother applying to UVA unless you have a MCAT of at least 30 minimal.
VCU favors minorities no matter what your MCAT or where you are from. I
don't know that much about EVMS because I did not apply....hate that part
of Virginia but may try next year if I don't get in this year....apparently it is
the easiest to get in as far as MCATs go...don't know about in-state versus
out-of-state.

Its really easy to get into VCU if you are an out of stater. I know out of staters with 26s and 27s who got in.
