stealth med/dental/pharm/etc students in optometry school?

I'm just curious... How many people start optometry school with the intention of leaving as soon as/if they get accepted to a different program (say, in medicine, dental, pharmacy, etc.)? I know it's done, I just have no idea how frequently it happens.

I was accepted to optometry school then dropped out beore classes started to apply to medical school...if that counts.

No, mpp, you don't count. I'm talking about people who had optometry as a "back-up plan", but are still hoping to get accepted to a different professional program.
