Hey all,

I was just wondering... what difference does a Step 2 score make if you are able to get it by like... around the time when the Dean's letter is released? Is it an advantage if its the same as your step 1 score or even better? Does it increase the chances of getting an interview, or is the step 1 more important as far as that is concerned...
Thanx

It's more important than step 1. lIf you did well on step 1, no reason to take 2 in time for the dean's letter or interview. I have to atone for a mediocre step 1, so I'll be taking it. If you;re set to take it, don;t release the score without seeing it first, This is a common practice and won;t be looked on with any suspicion I'm told. It's a lot safer. If you stank up step 1 and don;t do much better, it gets rid of any benefit of the doubt--that you had one bad day-- and it may bury you.

Good luck all-
