Steroid burst

Some patients love it. Some request it. I use it here and there for acute lumbar pain. I know it's controversial. But for those of you who use this, how often??? I try to limit to ~2-3 doses within a year so as to avoid renal suppression.

the steroid burst I give them is the 10 mg dex in their transforaminal or the 80 mg depo in their epidural...

medrol dosepak? It's called a steroid burst now? 2-3 times a year is quite excessive IMHO.

I have a colleague who does subchondral BMAC for AVN. Sharp guy, straight shooter. This looks too far gone but anyone have experience?
