So, I decided to become a pre-med after my 3rd year of undergrad, without having taken any of the pre-reqs. So, now I'm running into problems with the unit cap. After 225 quarter units, I'm going to be kicked out. I transferred from a JC, but I have found out that they only let you transfer in 105 units from a JC. I already have 96, so an adviser informed me that I could take some of my lower division pre-requisites at the JC and not get all the units counted against me, which helps me out a lot! But, I've heard that its not good to take more classes at a JC if you can avoid it, since I've already taken many before I transferred. But, if I do things this way, it will allow me to remain a student at my university(I won't get kicked out =P). My other option is to take as many classes I can until they kick me out, and then try to enroll in the other classes I need through open enrollment, which gives me the lowest priority into getting in the classes, which is a bad thing because if I don't get in I will be waiting around until the next quarter to attempt to take the classes, and if some of them are only offered once a year, I will have to wait a whole year! I have many units so I have high priority at the moment, which would allow me to get into the classes I need easily as long as I'm an enrolled student. Help me out! Would I be suffering alot from taking Math and Physics at a JC? I'm already down with lower-div bio and chem, so its just math and chem left. Thank you all!

I'm going to make the assumption that you saved a bundle of money by going to a JC for half of your college education. I would suggest that you take as many pre-reqs as you can at your current school and then enroll in a good post-bach program that is specifically designed for those who decide "late" that they want to go into medicine. You'll find a good advisor, help in finding clinical and lab based work/volunteer experience and you'll have a better application than if you go back to JC for some of the courses you need for med school.
