Still a whole bunch of shifts at cvs

5 rphs recently left a district in my area,resulting in a significant increase of open shifts. Over the years I have noticed there is always need from April to August. Though i thought there would be little or no open shifts due to a big influx of new grads this year.

if you look at the store inbox there's an increase in customer complaints. year to date at one store in particular, there are more customer complaints to corporate the past 4 months than ALL of last year in total. each year is a reduction in staff and increase workload. the only good stores remaining are those with pharmacists who do not leave on time. who stay behind for several extra hours without pay. and come in on day off. and use their vacation days to catch up on work.

New grads usually don't get licensed until July/August so they wouldn't help in April-June.
 
Plenty of FT pharmacists to pick up extra shifts to cover vacation. And then you got the new grads licensed by August

VACATION in Summer is the reason there are bunch of shifts available at CVS/WAG!
 
Is that true WAG is getting rid of floater rph position?
 
Walgreens could get rid of floaters and have the staff rph pick up extra shifts since they just got hours cut. Enough staff rphs looking for hours could eliminate floaters.
 
Also heard that a big chunk of the complaints are happening when floaters are covering... They could crack down on floaters I suppose.

Wouldn't that just make the staff pharmacists floaters? If they are regularly working at different stores, I would consider them floaters, even if they had a certain amount of hours always at the same store. I mean, even if they do away with calling these pharmacists "floaters", they technically still are.

Not really, there's still many older Rphs who have busy schedules at home with family obligations. Not every Rph is a new grad with no kids or responsibility.
