Still worth it to get Audio Osmosis?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Practice Practice Practice. Read ahead in your materials (esp kaplan) Do ALL the topical tests and ALL ALL the section tests, and take about 5 more MCATs than you are scheduled to on your own time under real conditions.

This worked for me.

It is CLUTCH that you take 3R-6R and VII from the AAMC. www.e-mcat.com or from your test prep company, ask them if they purchased the tests.

These are (AAMC) THE single most important thing you can do.

Hey,
I have the audio osmosis. The audio osmosis is good if you want to review in the car or while exercising, etc. They are expensive and it's not an efficient use of time for the last month before the test.
Hope that helps!
Kris

for those who have ek audio osmosis, is it possible to burn a copy or is there some kiind of protection on the cd's?

I have a 1 to 1 1/2 hour commute each way to and from work every day. So, for me, audio osmosis has been a good way to add study time to an otherwise wasted 2 -3 hours every day. True, it's not nearly as concentrated study time as it would be if you were sitting at home, doing problems, reviewing flashcards, etc. But several things have stuck... I think the Bio and Orgo sections are the best for listening. The physics and genChem--there's no getting around it... you HAVE to sit and do problems.

you can burn them as far as i know.
the tapes are actually kind of funny. jordan and jon as freggin whack jobs but it helps you retain random info.
BTW - i have a long commute to work like MSEvolution. if you don't, forget about the tapes and stick with traditional study methods.

Audio Osmosis goes well with EK's complete package. I'm not sure if I would want it as a stand alone study guide and only one month to review. If you can get them at the right website you can resell them on ebay and get all of your money back or a small profit. Seems like people do not realize it can be had for $140 and ebay I see it selling for abour $120-$150

I wouldn't bother. The cd's are great though. I found them perfect for when I was burnt out and just didn't want to study at all. I popped them in my cd player and shot some hoops for a few hours.

Current crop of audio cds don't have copy protection.
