stony brook essay - help!

For the first question - about a contemporary medical issue - does the growing number of uninsured fall into that category? I just wrote an essay about that and realized it may not even be a medical issue.

It's an issue that's happening now that is related to medicine...sounds like a contemporary medical issue to me.
