Stony Brook vs Buffalo (both IS)

Both schools are very reputable and the cost is nearly the same. Stony is great for specializing but I don't really plan to specialize so I don't know how much that matters. I am from the NYC area so Stony Brook is closer to home but I am a bit apprehensive about the much smaller class size at Stony than at Buffalo. I need to make a decision very soon so any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated!
