Ok my kaplan teacher mentioned something about once you start the DAT, if in the middle anytime you don't feel comfortable with how your doing you can leave and not have the scores sent anywhere. Meaning nothing gets sent, or goes on your record. Is thistrue? How does this work and when can you stop and say i'm not comfy? Any comments and clarification on this topic would be awesome. Thanks guys.

Don't take the DAT until you are prepared. If you study enough and do a lot of practice tests this should not be an issue. You don't want to have to be thinking that you can stop the test if you are not doing good. Therefore, no matter what finish the test. However, I'm not sure on the rules, but you will not need them if there are any. I know this applies to the GRE but I don't think it does to the DAT.

Well... I was under the assumption that you could just get up and leave but a friend of mine did just that and later found out that he got 2s or 3s on the second half of the test... so I dont suggest you do that. Unlike the MCAT... there is no way to void the results and you must wait at least three months to retake it. I would take the advice above mine and take the test when you are ready.

If you already goofed and left in the middle of the test... and if by chance, you are my friend from Long Island... then wait till you are absolutely ready and take the test then

Just prepare better next time. As for being able to leave the test site and not having scores sent to dental schools, your kaplan intructor is wrong to say that. I would correct him immediately before he tells more people false information. Really, the DAT isn't hard. Just study for 3 months and you should breeze through it.

Good luck,
Rich
