Can anybody give me any information about how a UK medical student would apply to undertake an 'elective' study period in New York. I am going into my 3rd year and want info. on good teaching hospitals in New York, info. on accomodation etc etc. I would really appreciate any help/advice anybody can offer.

Many thanks

Tony

One place you could post your message is at www.sga-stgeorges.org . That is the student government site for St.George's University students. I am a graduate of the university and, while I did do rotations in the states, not in NY. However, most of the SGU students do rotations in NY. You can ask them contact info, which hospitals they liked etc. Many of the hospitals you would have to call and inquire. If you need any info on hospitals in NJ, you can ask me:)

Thanks for getting back dr.sof. I'll try you're sugggestion

Cheers Tony
