Hello !
I was just very curious if there was anyone out there who has written both the Canadian
National Board Exam and US NDBE Part II or if they know anyone that has. Which was the most difficutl? Did you use the dental decks Part II for both exams?
By the way speaking of Board study material....there are two volumes called "Master Dentistry" which I have rather liked ( Volume 1: Oral and Maxxilofacial Surgery, Radiology, Pathology and Oral Medicine" , Volume 2: Restorative Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontcs) both published by Elsevier Science in 2003 ( in the UK)
Another useful review book which I came across is "Clinical Problem Solving in Dentistry" edited by Edward Odell published by Elsevier Science in 2000 (in the UK).
This book is comprised of 43 cases that are presented in a very comprehensive way- photos, Xrays, medical and dental histories, diagnostic tests and treatment options for each case. This is useful for the case studies component of the Board exams. I DETEST "Dental Secrets"- worst possible review material ever!
Thanks for any useful advice!
Good luck to all of those that are writing these exams!
