Plan out and test your strategies in advance
Plan out exactly how you expect to take the exam. Test your plan out by taking practice exams and observing any changes in your exam taking skills. Do not plan for the MCAT the day before and expect to implement your strategies without flaws. Try different techniques and see what works best for you. Practice those questions and sections that are your weakness. If you have trouble with the Organic Chemistry section, study and practice even more in that section. Plan to set a time limit for each question. This will prevent you from spending 5 minutes on a question and being careless with other question you may be over-confident about. Why spend 8 minutes stressing out over a question when there's a good chance you'll get it wrong? The only way you'll be able to use your time wisely is to know where your abilities are beforehand. This can only come from planning in advance and testing your strategies.

Expect exhaustion
Expect to be exhausted. The exam is long and arduous. Fine-tuned to make you tired and start making sloppy mistakes. The only way to prevent a catastrophy during the exam is to face the hurdles beforehand. Practice those practice exams! Find a quiet place, take full length exams, strictly following the time constraints of each section. The more you practice these exhaustive techniques the more you will be prepared to withstand the exhaustion during the exam. Take practice exams seriously! They might not be the exact MCAT questions you may see, but they do show how ready you really are for the real thing. A tip for preparing yourself for the Writing section is to practice writing sample essays on topics you find "boring". Practice reading passages that are long and uninteresting to prevent your mind from wandering when reading the real thing.

Take it easy
Try not to study too vigorously the day before the exam. If you must study, take a lite workload. Do some practice questions or do a pass through your flashcards. Do not study during the exam break. Take this time to replenish yourself and try to relax! Almost done!

Guessing
Answer all the questions on the MCAT. Even if you don't know some of them. You are not penalized for incorrect answers so why not take a chance and pick the best answer choice. If you find yourself with three answer choices, pick one you feel is probable. Guess!
