I've been researching methods for studying most effectively for the MCAT, specifically SN2ed's method, and the consensus here is that there are almost no circumstances where you should be studying for the MCAT in any way other than treating it like a full-time job. I'm currently a junior at a top-20 university, and I intend to write for the exam on May 23rd, which would give me about 2 weeks after spring term ends for solely MCAT study. Do I have a huge reason to be worried that my MCAT will be significantly lower if I take it in May versus taking it at the end of the summer? I would like to matriculate straight to medical school if at all possible, because I would frankly be unemployable with a liberal arts and pre-professional degree otherwise, and I don't have the means to take a gap year...
