Hi, I'm new to SDN. I'm in a 7-yr med. prog. and I'm an undergraduate freshman. I've already bought the Examkrackers Complete Study Guide, and I'm trying to acquire the EK Audio Osmosis. I'm taking biology and chemistry at the moment, and next year, I will be taking organic chem, physics, and histology. I'm planning on taking the MCAT next year, not sure whether to take it in april '07 or in august '07. Any advice for me as to when I should take the exam, and how to study for it? It would be much appreciated.

I didnt think people in 7 year med programs had to take the mcat...but I could be wrong.

If you do have to take it however, I do think it is too early to begin studying for the test (I just started to study and I am taking the april test) Just focus on your courses for the time being...the materials you buy may be dated by the time you are ready to take the test (especially since the test will be going computer based).

I do think as a freshman you would be studying too early..... I plan on taking it for the first time in April '07. The CBT.. Thats a little over a year away and I look at material like basic biology concepts. Cell structure and funtion, Newtons Laws, like twice a week. Wait until you have some courses under your belt, then take a practice test and see what you should work on...
