what are essential things to buy for intern year (other than a PDA)?
(books, PDA programs, etc)

what about a peds/neonatal stethoscope? i have a stethoscope that has an adult and a peds end on it, but im wondering if i should have something smaller for all the Inpatient nursery/nicu exams.

Try to pick a program that has "benefits"

Out PDAs came loaded with softwares.

We get $1000/yr for whatever medically related or CME. So you get to buy a really nice otoscope/ophthalmoscope set, electronic stethoscope, all the books you need....etc.

I agree, a PDA is essential.

The stethoscope you used in medical school should be good enough. You'll find dedicated peds/infant stethoscopes in most PICU/NICU and well-baby nurseries these days, so there's no need to buy your own.
