Hey Everyone,

As application time is rapidly approaching, I was hoping to get some feedback on my school list.

Quick rundown of my stats:

3.39 cGPA - strong upward trend last 2 semesters. (3.63 and looks like a 4.0 this semester)

3.25 sGPA

37Q MCAT (13,12,12)

Good LoRs from a number of professors

Strong ECs including leadership, teaching, lots of non-medical community service and plenty of medically related community service (hospice).

Limited shadowing (1 primary care doctor)

New York Resident

So, here's the list I have right now:

1. University of Rochester
2. Tufts
3. Albert Einstein at Yeshiva
4. Stony Brook
5. Wake Forest
6. SUNY-Upstate
7. University of Connecticut
8. Penn State
9. Georgetown
10. University of Maryland
11. University of Vermont
12. SUNY-Buffalo
13. Temple
14. SUNY-Downstate
15. Drexel
16. Jefferson
17. Rosalind Franklin
18. Albany Medical College
19. Loyola
20. Rush
21. Virginia Commonwealth
22. New York Medical College
23. George Washington University
24. Eastern Virginia Medical School

(Hofstra? Virginia Tech Carilion?)

Any comments, feedback, etc would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks so much in advance. Also, I'm not into going the D.O. route unless absolutely necessary.

Your list seems reasonable. The GPA is really going to hurt. You might want to consider MCW, SLU, Creighton.
