Hey guys :D

At what point in the application process should you submit a letter of intent, letting a school know that you would definitely attend?

And just how often will a letter get you into a school?

Thanks!

If you're on a waitlist and are 100% sure of your choice.
It works sometimes.;)

I wonder if letters of intent have any effect at schools where they have a ranked waitlist....

For schools with unranked waitlists, I'd imagine no one get accepted off of them that didn't sent additional information and letters of intentish.

This is a good question. Do letters of intent or update letters affect your rank on a ranked waitlist?

They might. Those lists are more fluid than you think. If you've been waitlisted somewhere, send them your grades and notify them of any honors or achievements since you submitted your application.

A few years ago, I was accepted off of a ranked waitlist.

Good luck,
