Hello,

Summer is approaching and I have no idea what I should do volunteering/research wise.

I already have 200 hours of volunteering at a hospital as well as a leadership position there. I just left that program and am not sure if I should continue volunteering else where during the summer before freshman year of college.

If you want to volunteer, volunteer. If you want to take a summer off, take a summer off. It isn't going to make or break anything in the long run as long as you volunteer, have leadership positions, etc. while you're in school.

Unless it's something you'll be committed to once school starts, or a big project you can talk about, then no, it wouldn't make a difference. What you do before college don't go on your resume (after your first or 2nd year of college) anyway.

Wait, before college starts? As in, you just finished HS?

Dude, take the summer off and relax.

Have fun burning out before your sophomore year.

Take the summer off and do something fun.
