summer before med-school

any ideas for a program to do summer before med school? don't want to do anything too crazy, but if I end up doing nothing, then I will have to work at my parents office the entire time (not a good idea!)

what do you mean by program? From what I've read, most med students advise either traveling or hanging out with friends and family. I'm taking the advice and backpacking through SE Asia.

Keep busy. Do NOT think about medical school or prepare for it. Do whatever you want. Travel, work, get hammered every night, whatever. Just don't sit around watching TV all day. Do something at least somewhat memorable.
