Do medical schools look down on non-pre med Summer CC credits?

If they don't, I want to take some summer classes at the CC near my home (a la parents' house) to keep down living expenses (don't have to pay rent for apartment/dorm).

Do they really care if I take a few Business classes at my local CC (for my business minor)?

If its a non-science course there's absolutely no problem at all. However science courses.... well... I suppose in the ideal world of SDN you'd avoid them at a CC but if your schedule requires a summer course of them.. well then go straight ahead.

Not a big deal, it sounds like you have a good reason for doing so.

I knew some fellow pre-meds who refused to take some pre-reqs like physics at my university because of its notorious difficulty. Instead they took it at our local joke of a community college and got easy A's.

They are both in medical school now.
