Here in Canada many (actually most) medical schools do not count summer marks toward GPA. How do US schools look at GPA?

Here in Canada many (actually most) medical schools do not count summer marks toward GPA. How do US schools look at GPA?

AMCAS includes everything. Even if you took a random pottery making class at a small community college one summer 10 years ago, they ask you to list it.

Thank-you so much. The process is so different between Canada and the US and it amazes me.
