How many of you did summer internships? Just wondering because I'm trying to determine the importance of trying to obtain one of these things. Thanks...

I didn't do any summer internships. I did volunteer at a local hospital for two summers and I participated in a three week medical externship (basically shadowing a doctor) through my school, which I found to be VERY worthwhile!!
