Has anyone taken part in a summer internship that they would recommend to others (or that they would recommend against)? Please share your experiences so that everyone can benefit....

Anything....I figured it would be a good way to share ideas with some of the newer people on here.
The only "internship" (meaning actually going somewhere, as opposed to working through e-mails, etc) I'm doing is going to Germany for 5 weeks as an intern on ambulances. But I imagine some of the sharper people on SDN have done some really high speed internships.....
