I did Crossroads last summer. The program is well-run, well-respected (Kennedy's model for the Peace Corps) and a great experience.

let me just ask a question. Where the hell do you come across the money to do something like this. I would love to do it, but realistically, i don't have the money to do it.

It's $3500 for the summer. The program helps you with fundraising. I sent out letters to about 100 people (mostly friends of my parents or parents of my friends) and raised the entire fee.
