What schools did you choose?
 
Has anyone applied to SURF at U Rochester's medical school or any of the research programs at CWRU? If so, have you heard back from anyone?

When did you submit your application? My portal still says "Thank you for applying to the Leadership Alliance Summer Research-Early Identification Program (SR-EIP). You have submitted a complete SR-EIP Online Application that has met all eligibility requirements. Your application is now being reviewed by coordinators from the three SR-EIP program sites that you selected."

I applied to Harvard, JHU, and WashU on 12/16/15

If you applied to the Harvard Medical School program, they never updated their SR-EIP status on the website. I heard back from them the 25th (Feb).

😵😵😵 Losin' it over here y'all. I'm mad at myself for stalking last years thread for dates, I'm mad at myself for even applying, I'm mad that instead of studying for my eminent MCAT I am on this freaking website.

I'm just mad.

I feel you, a couple of weeks ago I legit spent HOURS stalking threads from the past 2 years and looking at stats and dates. But at the risk of sounding trite, try to believe in yourself! Stats can only say so much about a person, and you don't know how your experiences or personal statements will measure up. You never know how things will work out. Plus, worst case scenario, this whole process is a good learning experience to prepare you for future applications.

I've certainly learned that my letter writers like to procrastinate lol. In the future I will be giving them due dates I feel are reasonable rather than the actual due dates. I'm not comfortable sitting on an incomplete app the day it is due....Ask for letter in November, get letter in February. GG
 
has anyone applied for the Minneapolis Heart Institute's research internship program? They say they'd send out confirmation of completed applications by the end of february but I haven't gotten anything yet..

It seems that Mt. Sinai and UT Health Science Center at Houston (Summer Research Program) have already sent theirs out based on this post. It's unnerving to not be part of the first wave of acceptances though :hungover:

Well, assuming this is true.
Tbh even if I got an offer from them I don't know if I'd take it- I really want to see what the AMGEN's have to say first, though bar those it's my top choice.

We applied to a bunch of the same! Someone on hear heard back from Harvard Kidney like 2 weeks ago. That same day they emailed me and told me my application was complete but it's been silence since.
Nothing from Cinci or Mt. Sinai

Apparently Mount Sinai sent out their first wave of acceptances last week (see earlier conversations in this thread within the last few pages)!

I'm from Rice University in Houston...
I honestly am so shocked LOL. I think I made a good case for my research interests and they matched well with the PI's? They sent my #1 choice lab placement

I heard back from Mt. Sinai on the 12th and the deadline for accepting the program was today so they should be sending out the second wave soon!
