I have been searching forever on the internet and at school for summer research. I go to a small liberal arts school, so there arent' many jobs here. I was wondering if you guys knew of any places i could try. THanks for your help,

Nic

Do a search under "undergraduate summer internship" or something like that...you'll get a bunch, some which have summer stipends and some that don't. I think Iowa State has one as does UT-Southwestern.

If you have the money to not have to get a stipend, then you can basically do research at ANY institution you want...just contact a professor...

most liberal arts schools are located somewhat close to a bigger research university...are you? can you look there? the great thing about doing research at your own institution or somewhere close by is that you can continue it during the school year if you like it...just something to think about.

You couldn't have been searching too hard... There are at least 50 out there, excluding the ones closed for lack of funding.

Search for "summer undergraduate research" or "REU." You might want to get a move on, because most apps are due late Jan/early Feb. Not the easiest thing to get letters of rec at the last minute.
